They’ve already been hard at work for several weeks, so here (finally!) is a proper introduction to our new and expanded administrative team.
But first, a farewell blessing for Beth. Beth had been a member here for about a year when she was hired to manage the office-end of the business. She answered the phone and managed memberships. She helped carry out new systems and refine them for efficiency. She had a long lost of responsibilities, and carried them out really well on a daily basis.
Last fall, she also launched her own business, Essential Nature Holistic Health, and by the winter, was making the plans to develop her business into a full-time gig by the summer. Well, summer is here, she met her timeline and she’s done it! Her business has grown, she’s just made the leap into working full time for herself, and is running her own business and pursuing her passion of helping people live healthier, happier lives. Well done, Beth!
You will still see Beth at the gym. She has trained our new office staff and will be providing support to them in the transition, but within a few weeks, you’ll primarily see her as an athlete, working out. Thank you, Beth, for all of the work you put into SRSC!
Meanwhile, our new office staff members have already made themselves right at home. Here they are:
Jorge Sanchez, Administrative Rock Star
Jorge is responsible for all of your membership needs, from registration to renewals to fish oil purchases. You can contact him at email@example.com. Jorge comes to us with ample experience in sports facility administration, as he was the office manager at SportsCity, the indoor soccer complex, for the three years. He grew up in Rohnert Park and has been a competitive soccer player his whole life. He also a coach for TOPSoccer, a program that works to give children with disabilities the opportunity to be a part of a team sport. He found SRSC when he decided to find another outlet to test his fitness. Jorge says that what he loves about SRSC is that he gets to be around so many other awesome, welcoming, like-minded individuals.
Dawn Caccavalle, Marketing Maven
Dawn was the woman behind the office and cubby area redesign last spring. In addition to optimizing our spacial function and aesthetics, she is responsible for taking care of our incoming and prospective members. With 10 years in health care marketing and 5 years as an ER RN, Dawn has a passion for health advocacy. She is excited with the changes she’s seen in her health and wellness from the CrossFit and Paleo lifestyle and wants to help others join our gym and experience those positive changes for themselves. She welcomes all friend and family referrals, and any suggestions you have on how to make our programs and health education more available to current and prospective members.
April Crone, Volunteer Staff
April records attendance in Zen Planner, restocks all handouts (including new journal sheets and strength trackers), and generally helps out with office and administrative duties. April has been a member of SRSC for a year and a half and loves the group workouts and community. She originally joined SRSC at the suggestion of some firefighters in order to get to the level of fitness needed to pass physical testing for a firefighting career. Eight months later and 30 pounds lighter, she was the only woman out of six in her class to pass SRJC’s physical entry test into the fire academy! April continues working towards that goal at SRSC, and this fall will be starting the Paramedic Academy. Thank you, April, and congratulations!
Nathan Royster, Volunteer Staff
Nate is currently helping out around the gym in whatever capacity is needed, from replacing the old wire on one of the ergs to researching new speaker options after pulling down the current ones and finding they were blown! Nate was a Division 1 Football Player and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. After college, he was looking for something to provide the same satisfaction football did, and he found CrossFit. He moved to Santa Rosa four months ago and is in the process of preparing for certifications to become a strength and conditioning coach and CrossFit trainer. Thanks, Nate, and welcome.
